How to Play a Birthday Song on Your TV (One Tap, No App)

The best moment of a personalized birthday song isn't on a phone screen — it's the whole room watching the TV as the cake comes out. Good news: putting it up there takes one tap, and nobody has to install anything.

From an Android phone (Chromecast)

• Make sure your phone and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi, and the TV is on.
• Open your song's page in Chrome — your own studio page, or the share link.
• A "Play on TV" button appears under the video the moment a TV is found. Tap it, pick the TV, done.

This works with Chromecast, Google TV, and most Android TVs. If you don't see the button, the TV isn't discoverable yet — turn it on and give it a few seconds.

From an iPhone or iPad (AirPlay)

• Open the song's page and start the video.
• Tap the AirPlay icon in the player controls (a rectangle with a little triangle).
• Choose your Apple TV — or any AirPlay-2 smart TV (most Samsung, LG and Sony sets from around 2019).

The trick everyone misses: guests can do it too

The share link works exactly the same way. Send it to the family group chat, and whoever is closest to the TV at the party can put it on the big screen from their own phone — no account, no download, no cables.

Quick troubleshooting: phone and TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network; the TV needs to be on (some TVs disappear from the network in eco standby); and on Android the cast button lives in Chrome — other browsers don't support it.
